The Gulupa hat is a stylish accessory and its wide brim is great for protecting wearers in the sun, making it perfect for special occasions, beach days, or leisurely city strolls. Ortus hats are contemporary pieces inspired by bold design ideas. Each hat is individually hand dyed and woven by skilled artisans, using a process that takes up to three days. Every hat is handmade. Slight variations in colour and pattern make each one truly unique. Colour: Purple and tri-colour Material: 100% Iraca straw Country of Origin: Colombia Band: 3cm width burgundy grosgrain ribbon with multi-colour twisted ribbon Crown: 10cm. Boater style. Brim: 11cm (excluding frayed edges), curved finish Sweatband: Cotton Storing your hat: Storing your hat inside a hat box will help to ensure that you can enjoy your hat for a reasonable length of time, and help to prevent damage to its structure and colour. Straw hats are best stored away from direct sunlight. Treating your hat with care: Do not fold your hat, because it will damage the shape of the hat and crack the straw. When removing your hat, place the hat facing up (crown down) on a flat surface to avoid damaging the shape of the brim. Cleaning your hat: You can clean your hat by using a clean damp cloth, or a wet wipe to remove any marks. We do not recommend the use of any chemicals, powders, or any other cleaning agents. Reshaping your hat: Avoid wearing your hat in the rain because it is likely to lose its shape. If your hat gets wet, dry it using a clean, absorbent cloth or sponge. Alternatively place your hat with the crown down and brim facing up and allow your hat to dry out naturally. Try to ensure you restore its original shape.
