The Smoking Gun from Sage is certainly something you can imagine the great man himself using for one of his amazing creations. Where there's smoke there's flavour and the Smoking Gun maximises the flavour of meats, cheeses, desserts, condiments and cocktails by imparting a smoky flavour and aroma without changing their texture. The dual speed settings allow for gentle or intense smoking and the flexible silicone smoke tube directs the smoke to where it is needed (it is also removable for compact storage). There are several techniques for smoking: Smoke cooked food in a container or sealable bag and allow the smoke to infuse for up to 3 minutes. For a smokier flavour repeat as necessary. For a real experience you can smoke at the tableside. Fill a glass serving cloche or upturned glass with smoke and place over the plate of food. Allow the smoke to infuse for several minutes before theatrically lifting off the cloche in front of your wowed guests! To smoke condiments or sauces place in a bowl and cover with plastic wrap. Insert the smoking tube and fill with smoke. Let the food take on the smokey aromas before releasing the smoke. To add a smokey flavour to a cocktail prepare your drink in a shaker and fill with smoke. Then cover and shake to impart the flavour. To start you on your smoking journey Hickory and Applewood chips and a set of recipe cards are included. 4x AA batteries included. Sage 12 month replacement guarantee.
