Luxury Flooring Light Engineered Oak Smooth & Invisible Oiled Flooring - 14mm x 1900mm x 190mm
122.23 GBP
Our Studley Corn Oiled Engineered European Oak Wood Flooring has a total thickness of 14mm, providing exceptional resistance to daily wear. The thickness of each board is divided between an 11mm base and a 3mm solid wood veneer. Constructed from a bespoke multi-ply design, the base layer of the flooring is built with structural stability in mind. Each cut of plywood runs perpendicular to one another, and is highly compressed to make movement within the board impossible. This allows engineered flooring to be fitted in areas of high humidity and moisture, including kitchens, conservatories, and over underfloor heating. Above the core, a solid wood veneer is applied for additional durability and stunning visual qualities. The wear layer of this product has been milled from a single piece of European oak timber, expertly selected for its intricate grains and stunning textures. Each plank measures 190mm in width, proving to be a wider choice than many alternatives. Whilst this does not affect the integrity or quality of the wood, it delivers an aesthetic that’s more suited to smaller rooms, creating the impression of more space. For this type of flooring, we have selected an ABC grade of solid oak. This makes for a perfect blend of high quality close grains and small imperfections, such as knots and blemishes. Alongside this, a finish of invisible oil has been applied in order to accentuate the bespoke characteristics of the veneer. Whilst many oils stain the colour of the wood, invisible oils have been specially designed to preserve the wood’s natural aesthetic, whilst still strengthening the grain through absorption. During the manufacturing process, a micro-bevel is cut into the surface. This creates a small groove between each board, giving extra definition to the edges of your flooring, and added texture underfoot. Each plank comes in a single-strip effect at a fixed length of 1900mm. This makes for a more uniformed appearance in comparison to its random length counterpart. With staggered boards at equal intervals, you can achieve the prototypical look of traditional hardwood flooring. This product also features an integrated ‘tongue and groove’ installation system, making fitting hassle-free. Opposed to classical methods of installation, engineered boards can be floated, instead of fixed directly to a subfloor. As each board is designed to fit securely into one another, the need for additional nails and adhesives is almost completely removed, saving time and labour costs. The Studley Corn Oak promises a prolonged longevity, and can retain its quality for a lifetime. With our impressive 25-year guarantee, you can rest assured that your flooring is built to last. If any damage does begin to surface, the 3mm solid wood wear layer can be sanded and re-finished up to 3 times, allowing you to restore the look and feel of your boards to their former glory.

126.57 GBP
Oak is the most popular wood used for floors and it’s easy to see why. The Studley Rich Tea Oak 190 x 14/3mm exhibits an exquisite colour and natural knots, while still having the benefits of durability and easy maintenance. This product's 3mm surface means you are able to sand it down twice, allowing it to look fresh for a long time, although this isn’t usually necessary for 15-20 years! Our generous 25-year guarantee shows we are confident in the sturdiness of our flooring. With so many homes now having under floor heating installed, engineered is an excellent choice for nearly every room in your home- its possibilities are endless! It can withstand higher temperatures other floors may not be able to due to it being resistant to warping or shrinking under heat. The product also has a tongue and groove method of instillation which is a traditional technique, meaning the process will be very smooth and familiar to fitters. The impeccable invisible lacquered finish is the most popular finish, due to it increasing the density of the surface layer, making for an extremely hard-wearing floor. This would make this flooring perfect for high traffic areas such as the kitchen or hallway. The long planks and a soft colour of this flooring makes it ideal for someone looking for a less busy flooring. Therefore, it would go beautifully with a room that already has a lot going on, perhaps patterned walls or sofa. The bevelled edges do, however, give the flooring added feature and character as opposed to a completely smooth surface. The rustic grade preserves the natural beauty of the oak. Additionally, if you were to place this in your kitchen then the soft colour would complement whatever kitchen surfaces you have.

Thorpe Ranch Oak Herringbone is 70mm(W)x350mm(L) and 18mm thick. The fact we offer a 25 year guarantee with this product truly shows just how much faith we have in its quality and durability. Solid wood floors last a life time thanks to their incredible durability. Not only does it look stunning, but solid wood floor also attracts less allergens, dust and mould making it a hygienic flooring choice too. Additionally, solid wood floors are hard wearing making them perfect for high traffic areas and will be able to retain its stunning aesthetic. Because of it's natural state however, it is not recommended that you use a solid wood floor with underfloor heating as it is unable to expand and contract with such fluctuations in temperatures. As well as this, the parquet flooring is a huge trend this year and is currently the favourite among interior designers. This means that installing as parquet style floor in your home would help to instantly modernise and bring some life to your floor. The micro bevelled edges on this flooring add depth and definition, meaning they make a room look larger but to a lesser degree than ordinary bevelled edges. The fact this floor is oak also adds atmosphere to a room - the grain and knots add elegance, whereas the shade fits in with modern dark and wooden décor. The grade of this product is the ‘rustic’ grade. This means that certain planks will have more knots and natural imperfections - giving the product much more character. This floor is smooth and lacquered. This gives a luxurious feel while the lacquer finish gives the timber ultimate protection and durability as well as providing it with a maintainable surface area, however, as this is a natural product we would always advise you to mop up any spillages or splashes as quickly as possible.

Luxury Flooring Natural Engineered Oak Smooth & Lacquered Flooring - 14mm x 300-1200mm x 150mm
91.78 GBP
Our Studley Bloom Oak 150 x 14/3mm has been very popular amongst visitors to luxuryflooring.co.uk since its introduction. This product has a total thickness of 14mm. 11mm of which is made up of multi-ply backing (cheaper species such as birch are used when constructing the multi-ply backing) and 3mm of real European oak on top, this is also referred to as the wear layer. The plank width of the Studley Bloom Oak is 150mm, which is deemed a moderate plank width considering we offer other products with plank widths ranging between 80 - 300mm. A 150mm plank width is perfect for most rooms/spaces within a residential property. With a 3mm wear layer you are able to sand down the surface up to four times in total should you ever feel it necessary. Once the oak has been sanded, you would be required to reapply a lacquer (or another choice of finish if you wish to change the appearance of your floor i.e. oil or wax) to the surface area in order to refinish it. Once the material has been constructed into individual floorboards, approximately seven coats of pearl satin lacquer are added to the surface of the planks. This ensures the timber is completely sealed, protecting the material from any spillages and/or splashes, which are likely to occur over the years. The Bloom Oak comes with a tongue and groove fitting mechanism offering you two different installation options - gluing or secret nailing. The grade of this flooring is ABC, which means you are likely to come across natural knots and imperfections within the batch. This grade of timber is often referred to as ‘rustic’ on other supplier’s websites and is seen as the main attraction when purchasing natural products. If you require any matching accessories for your project, we offer a full range of accessories in the ‘lacquered’ finish including door profiles, scotia beading and skirting boards.
Luxury Flooring Natural Engineered Oak Smooth & Lacquered Flooring - 14mm x 300-1200mm x 125mm
102.93 GBP
Studley Meadow Oak 125 x 14/3mm has a plank width of 120mm and is a random length product (between 300-1200mm). A 125mm plank width is deemed a fairly narrow plank and works better in smaller spaces such as bedrooms or hallways. Random length or RL products allow you or whoever is fitting your floor to stagger individual planks – creating a free-flowing look. Also, the 3mm wear layer enables you to sand and refinish the surface up to 3 times in total, however this shouldn’t be necessary for the first 10-15 years. Engineered or multi-ply backed products are incredibly resilient to temperature changes that make them suitable for the vast majority of rooms within your home – even the conservatory! Due to their stability, all of our engineered wood products are compatible with both water and electrical based under floor heating systems. Our Meadow Oak uses the tongue and groove (T&G); joining mechanism. Each floorboard is manufactured with a ‘tongue’ and a ‘groove’ that are simply slotted together, creating a strong bond between individual floorboards. Please note, a T&G; product requires you or whoever is fitting the floor to first apply a small amount of PVA wood joint to both the tongue and the groove before individual planks are slotted together. This method of joining solid oak planks gives you two different installation options. Option one would be to secret nail the tongue part of the plank into a wooden subfloor. Option two would be to stick the timber directly onto the subfloor with use of flooring adhesive. Please see the full, downloadable installation guide in the installation tab above for more information. The grade of our Meadow Oak is ABC grade - other suppliers may refer to this grade of timber as rustic. This simply means there will be knots and natural imperfections within the batch. This ultimately gives the product that natural, flowing feel and look – something, which is only achievable with a natural product.
